Walking festival
Blairgowrie Walking Festival will be held this year on 28th September - 4th October 2007. Initial planning suggests that there will be 22 new walks with an extra day now finishing on Thursday 4th October. And we are going to include a day of map reading along with trail biking and climbing, - and not all on the same day!

Highland games
The annual Blairgowrie & Rattray Highland Games, a blend of spectacle and fun, take place on the first Sunday in September in beautiful Perthshire. The Games feature all the traditional ingredients of a Highland Games, with some novel additional events. As well as piping and Highland Dance competitions, Tug O’ War teams and Heavy Events athletes will compete for coveted prizes totalling over £4000.
The ever popular Hill Race, whose route has been slightly modified to increase the challenge, attracts a large field of men and women runners. So, if you hope to participate in this year’s competition, get in training! For more information on the race, contact: bob.ellis
Other attractions include a dog show, a children's mini-Highland Games, helicopter rides as well as a variety of stalls and fun activities for all the family.
