Our Angus Assured Clean & Safe Commitment

Dear Valued Guests,

At the Angus Hotel, we know a break to Blairgowrie is an opportunity for you to escape from the hustle of everyday life. We want you to still feel you are leaving it all behind for a while, whilst you take advantage of the Perthshire clean air, and a local welcome.

We are committed to staying true to our heritage, and that all-Important highland welcome. You can be assured that our aim is that you will always get the best out of your break with us.

You will see from the information, that we have created our own assurance program to keep everyone clean and safe. Like all hotels, we have had to apply changes in the way that we operate whilst we do our bit to minimise the risk from Coronavirus.  These changes are essential, and some are legislative, and they are there to protect you, our people, our environment and our local community.

If you have any questions, then we would be happy to hear from you at stay@theangushotel.com.

In the meantime, I look forward to welcoming you to the Angus Hotel very soon.

Warmest regards

Brian Robinson
Hotel General Manager

We’re good to go!

Our Clean and Safe practices are all self-assured at The Angus Hotel
We have managed all the risks in the hotel and VisitScotland have awarded us the UK accreditation “We’re Good to Go” for the systems and procedures we have put in place.

This initiative is a self-certification scheme by Visit England and the other three agencies across the UK, and specifically VisitScotland for the Scottish tourism sector. The accreditation is directly linked to national and sector specific public health and safety guidelines. For more information click here.

We have implemented this process to ensure that we maintain social distancing at all times. You can book your first swim from the link below, or we have added a book online function to the hotel website here.

Our sauna will be out of operation for the time being, and we will advise when back in action.

However, as we are in this together, there is shared responsibility, and we need you to ensure the distance measures are in play at all times.
  • Wearing face coverings
On arrival at the health club, we would ask that all members wear a face mask on entrance and into the changing areas, we understand it is unpractical to use masks on poolside. Please take extra care to maintain the 2-meter distancing.
  • Use of the showers
The showers on poolside area are a 1m distance zone, so we ask that only one member or guest uses the showers at any one given time. There will be signage to support our shared efforts.
  • Changing areas
Our team will monitor the changing areas more often, and we will leave disinfectant wipes for wiping down the lockers, and we ask that you use the hand sanitiser on entering and departing the changing rooms. The cubicles offer a safe barrier between others, however when in the communal area of the changing area, we ask that there is only one person at a time, or two from the same household. The area will be labelled with appropriate signage.
  • Cleaning stations
Will be located around the pool and club areas, members and guests are required to use the approved cleaning products, wipes and disposable roll, to sanitise touch points after use.
  • We ask all our guests, visitors and employees to wear a face covering when moving around the hotel. When seated at a table dining or having a drink in the bar, the face covering can be removed.
  • We sanitise the tables in the restaurant and bar before and after each guest.
  • We take reservations for dining to ensure we keep to the 1 metre safe distancing.
  • We have antibacterial wipes for any self-service items which you can use.
