~ Coronavirus COVID 19 – Hotel Temporary Closure ~
As part of the Government’s containment plan for the COVID-19 coronavirus, The Angus Hotel has been temporarily closed to the public and to residential guests until further notice.
While the Government has not compulsorily asked hotels to close, our public areas are subject to closure under the latest advice and we took the view that it was no longer tenable to continue to open to residential guests.
The closure is in effect from guest checkout at 11am on Saturday 21st March.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely, please refer to our websites and social channels for further updates on a date when we will reopen.
Mothering Sunday 22nd March
The decision to close directly affects any party who has booked for Mother’s Day this Sunday. We are incredibly sorry that you will be unable to celebrate this important occasion at The Angus Hotel. As a family owned business, we understand the importance of family at times such as this.
All reservations between Saturday 21st March until Sunday 12th April* will be automatically cancelled and either given a voucher for a new date in the Autumn or refunded in full. We are extremely sorry to have to do this and would like to thank you for your understanding and patience and to recognise the incredible effort and support of our team, suppliers, customers and guests over this difficult period.
Like many businesses, we are facing the prospect of no income for the foreseeable future and we have had to furlough some of our hard-working team of chefs, managers, waiting staff and housekeeping team.
We offer gift certificates and we’d like you to consider buying those now with the intention of then having a holiday to look forward to later in the year. Every little will help our business return from this challenging period when we look forward to opening our doors and welcoming our guests to The Angus Hotel once again
Thank you to all our customers at this challenging time. Stay safe, stay well and stay in touch.
Murray Scott and the Team at The Angus Hotel
* We imagine that this date will be rolled forward as more government advice becomes available. We will, of course, look to regularly update our customers and guest with reservation cancellation information as and when we can.
